Cleaning out a drawer in my kitchen and found this strange tool or utensil.
I've asked over 40 people and no one knows what it is.....
Perhaps someone in the forums here can identify it or make a good guess.

That hinge wouldn't support an egg. |
the size is 60cm ( i dont think it is 6cm long ,for i never saw a rule has prescision down to 0.1mm)
if the size is 60 cm long
it is not for small-work
for it is long ,flat , steel made
i guess it is for cooking
maybe it is for placing something (such as bread) in/out the oven
and using its left arm the place the hot bread on a disk

The only thing it makes me think is some tool to pick up cookies... 200°C out from the oven and voilą!
[edit] I've noticed that the flat sliding piece must have some function related to the sliding, but it is outward force, from the middle.
Maybe it's a hamburger tool, you put them in with the flat face on, than you slide it and you have something to turn them or take them on the plate? |

The ruler is inches. 6 in = 15.2 cm.
Some other suggestions made to me are it's a tool for cutting the "V" in grapefruit, slicing the end and serving butter and a tool to repair a broken or stuck zipper.
Also to note, there are no sharp edges. It clearly shows the number 3 which seems to indicate that there may be a 1, 2 and possibly a 4 and up. |
