nForce chipsets are probably the best for a Socket A platform

You are right, you shouls read reviews about that chipset, I've heard that all Nvidia are a bit a thorn in the flank.

Make sure if you buy one with thos chipsets to be careful with thei LAN built-in firewall. Read carefully the reviews.

Good luck pal!

Dume had right ... last version have highest performance in nVidia. Choose SPP or Ultra version which are in same design (Ultra is 100% validated with Athlons with FSB 200 Mhz - 400 MHz effective).
IGP means integrated graphics - read - worse performance.

BTW I had luck and used for about year Athlon 2500+ mobile on EPOX 8RDA3+ Pro (NForce 2 Ultra). Great performance and great overclocking.

I recommend you Gigabyte 7NNXP, Epox 8RDA3+ Pro or 8RDA6+ Pro, ABIT NF7-S or DFI LanParty II Ultra B. These are real legends.
