|
|
| Pulled this chip from a 16 bit board made by a company called Laser Master Inc. The chip had a sticker on it (LMI) and I pulled it off only to find the top of the chip had it's markings sanded off. I believe the board had something to do with converting vector to raster graphics for faster printing on older laser printers. Hoping someone could identify it or perhaps the manufacturer with the picture of the backside. |

That was helpful.
I did find out that the LaserMaster company used the TI 34020 processors on their controller boards.
These controllers enhanced the capabilities of laser printers that used the Canon SX Engine (HP LJ II series)

pretty normal DSP chips.
It is fairly common for companies to sanatize chips, especially if they are worried about IP issues (I have had clients request it) _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
