Does it happen every 5 minute even when you are using them?
Try in control panel to uncheck the "shut off peripheral for power saving when unused" or similar.
Maybe a bad driver, try reinstalling them. |

Can you have a fresh install of the OS? With another HD maybe.
Maye there is some other problem OS related you can't see.
Before spending money worth a shot. |

Be sure you have the latest bios for your board, look if site states about any problem with usb devices.
Try installing a different os, like a live cd of a linux distribution, try ubuntu.
After I'm out of ideas. RMA or stick to the overclock! |

I sorted the problem out I forgot to mention I just done a wire mod for more core voltage (now I have 1.84V from 1.6V) and that seemed to sort the problem with the USB ports out, the problem was (I think) that I flashed the lates BIOS on the board and the new BIOS overclocked the CPU 45MHz over the default speed even if the FSB was set to 133 in windows the FSB would be 135, so the 45MHz OC was causing some instability problems and thus I was loosing the USB ports, but now there working good.
THANKS Dume and Marcin for the help

Wery strange because now the CPU is overclocked to 2330MHz (done a litle more this morning) and I'm not loosing the ports and when it was 45MHz over the stock they were gone, I'm 99% shure that the vcore was the culprit
If I'm taking about overclocking, Marcin you said that you had a AMD Athlon XP 2500+ thatyou overclocked to 2700MHz what motherboard did you used?
