Thats the problem because I'm not overclocking the RAM my mobo has jumpers for 100, 133, 166MHz FSB and I just moved the jumpers from 133 to 166MHz so I jut overclockied the CPU the AGP/PCI bus ramains @ 66/33 and the memory speed is @ 166MHz (333MHz DDR) and my stick is rated for DDR400 so its not the memory overclocking the problem.

THANKS

if there is an option in BIOS with memory timings adjust to "normal" or "defaults" or manual : 3-3-3-10

You wrote that problem is with two sticks of RAM ... with one stick all is OK ? If yes try mount one stick to second bank and test. We must check if banks are good.

My timings are 2.5-5-3-7 should I put them to 3-3-3-10?
Yes I have the problem when the 2 slots are filled, with one slot filled there are no problems. I tried to change the sticks between them (the stick from slot 1 to slot 2 and vice versa) and that seemed to cure the problem for now but the problem is still there because its not normal for a stick to work in the firs slot and in the second not. I still want to fiind if the memory is the problem because I still have warranty on them.

THANKS

At first change cas latency CL to 3

run again prime95 - all torture tests for about 20 minutes each

if no problems run memtest+ from bootable floppy or CD (that is DOS program)

OK, I run the Blend torture test with CAS 2.5 for 25Min and there were no errors (forgot to mention that my memory is rated for CL2.5 @DDR333 and CL3 @DDR400), I have memtest for windows and I leave it for about 2hours totest the memory I post the result as soon as I finish the test

Here is what i'v done:

The memory stick with the problem was in slot 2 so I changed the stick from slot 2 and plug it in slot 1 and the memory that was working corectly was pluged in slot 1 so I pluged it in slot 2, and now it doesn't beep when I restart the PC, but that seems strange so there must be a problem somwhere but I don't know were, any ideeas?
