| Is theee anyway to find a sspec on a Intel processor wiithout having to look at the processor itself? maybe using a utility? For some reason I thought CPUID had this information but doesnt seem to. |

There is no guaranteed way to find S-Spec without looking at the CPU. You can use CPU-Z and similar programs to get CPU ID, frequency, FSB and other parameters and then use some kind of look up table to translate those values to S-Spec codes. This won't always work because you may have multiple S-spec codes for the same set of CPU parameters.

| Thats what I kind of thought. I'll just not stepping, etc. speed and use that as a base. I have about 20 P4 boxes that I can choose a few P4's from but dont have the time to open them up. |
