Best single core 939 CPU

What's the best single-core cpu available still at the present?It must be socket 939.

AFAIK, this is Athlon 64 4000+.

Socket 939 can host Opteron processors too, maybe check if there is compatibility with your board.


Opterons have 1 Mb L2 cache.

Opterons 152, 154 and 156 will be faster than Athlon 4000+.

I don't think that any of the chips.That you listed will even work with my mobo.

Why you say that ? They are all for Socket 939. What is your motherboard ?
