I have identified the Motorola and the nec (they just got in the pic because they were in the same scan. The others allude me though. I got them all together on a single board. I don't know what it came out of but it looked to have plunged into some larger server unit. From what I can find the L1a4127, l1a2628 or the l1a4125 may be processors (those electronics clearing house sites are not particularly informative) but the other two are certainly not.

Thanks,
Les

The chip layout and font reminds me of LSI Logic chips... Perhaps a custom order from a company "PYRD" to LSI? I searched for a few minutes and found nothing. The L1Axxx chips identifiers and triangle markings also point towards LSI.

Update - the company may have been Pyramid Technology:

I agree with you on the lsi. Thanks for the pyramid reference. This will be helpful to me. Perhaps if I am lucky the next time I go to the yard I can find and identify the shell of a machine these came out of. Knowing the brand will help tremendously.

Thanks,

Les
