|
|
I have an EPOX 8KHA+ and tried to upgrade my old AMD 1800 processor. After numerous processors I received an AMD 2600 with 266 FSB. However, it only recognizes it as 800MHZ and I have tried everything I could think of to make it work... at this point I would simply appreciate any hints or tips I can get. Here are the processor specifications:
AMD Athlon
AXMB2600FLQ4C
F444903240136
AQXCA 0309VPAW
1999 AMD
Thank you so much!!! |

I'm sorry but your mobo in the factory version don't support this kind of CPU.
Socket A compatible AMD Athlon XP processor 1500+ to 1800+, and 600MHz to 1.4GHz AMD Athlon and AMD Duron processors only.
You have to flash your bios at the latest version available and so you will have the support for the 2600+, but are you able to flash a bios? if something of bad happen you can put your mobo in the trash. |
