I've got an Intel D815EEA2 motherboard and a Celeron 1.1 GHz processor (sSpec Number: SL5ZE). For some reason they don't seem to be working together.

I know the motherboard is good because it works fine with a PIII 667 CPU and a Celeron 500 CPU. Likewise, the Celeron 1.1 GHz CPU is fine because it works with another motherboard.

When I turn the computer on with the 1.1 GHz processor installed, it powers up but immediately hangs. Nothing appears on the screen, and it will not accept any keyboard input.

According to Intel's site this processor should be compatible with this board: support.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d815eea2/sb/cs-013036.htm.

I've read threads where others have gotten this processor and board combo to work. If anyone has an idea how I can get these to work together, please let me know. BTW, I have installed the latest BIOS (P21). Thanks.

Is FSB correctly set?

Try at 133 mhz, a few secs won't fry it... just to see if it posts.

PIII 667 CPU and a Celeron 500 CPU
and
Celeron 1.1 GHz processor
their core voltage are different. maybe you need a 370-tulatin tranition-socket
