I wanted to see if any of you have methods for making ceramic and/or gold tops look better? Besides cleaning with alcohol I thought I remember someone mentioning using an erasure to remove or lighten scratches?
I want to go over some of my favorite chips and see what I can do to make them look better. |

I have used toothpaste with an old toothbush to clean
white ceramic chips and others. Be careful around the printing. I had
the printing come off with an old Motorola chip. Luckily I had 2 of them.

And I have 1000 C4004 chips

to be serious, my favourite is a rubber pen after several liquids.
of course no rubber on the gold lid but on the ceramic. |

I used "Goof Off" to clean white-ceramic chips. It takes some time to clean the chips and they definitely look better afterwards, but it doesn't clean them completely.
