Hi all, I'm not sure what happened, but my computer stopped working the other day.

Here's the short - My officemate accidentally flipped the power switch on the powerstrip. My computer shut down and now it won't work.

It powers up, but I get no video, no error beeps, nothing. the fans whirrr, the LEDs indicate power is there and things should be working. I tried removing everything (vid card, ram, etc.) to see if I would get a beep warning me that there's no ram, but I don't get anything. I checked to make sure the speaker is plugged in. I cleared the CMOS,

Is it possible to order a new bios chip? I mean, i can't see how, but I suppose that could have been somehow corrupted...

I'm just lost for ideas here and welcome anything you have to offer.

the mobo is an abit NF7-S rev.2

finally, and very importantly, what manufacturers still sell socket A boards. The only company newegg even lists is pcchips, and the reviews of the board are so bad that I'm afraid to even order it...

thanks

Looks like a RAM problem or some capacitors on the MB was fused.

NEW socket A MB are still sealed on Ebay
