I checked my PPros and some have big difference in colors and rest less. Hmmmm I remember PPro ES from LZF and there was viewable that difference but as you said it isn't possible that most of our chips are fake _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

| Yes, I bought that PPro from LZF and it was fake.. the printing was so bad, I didnt notice it in the auction picture, only when it arrived and already by then it was mentioned in this forum ( by the way LZF refunded me on that cpu) I think I posted a picture of the fake cpu. I cant remember where the thread is. |

I dont think this is a reliable indicator for faking, otherwise nearly all my ppro are fake? All speeds 150+ .. why fake 150Mhz ( unless it was ES 133 I guess)
|
i dont think it is a reliable sign of faking too
if this indicate fake then a lot of chips shown in the cpuphotolibrary are fake
and if my SY010 150 is a fake, what is it originally ?
is it a 133 or 150 with differnt cache size or 150 ES ?
there is no reason to fake it into a common 150 256k PPro SY010... |

The library are not the absolute truth or a encyclopedia. Its a work in progress where you the collectors make the content. In all 4500+ images there are probably a lot of fakes not found / known yet. A good example is jrmunro:s 486 DX4-75 that unzlbunzl found the other day. A fake never heard of but perhaps thanks to being able to side to side compare all 486:s known it was found. _________________ My collection: http://www.cpucollection.se :::::: http://www.chipdb.org Photos of chips you never knew existed.
