Pentium D 925 is faster in video/audio encoding applications. Athlon X2 3600+ is faster in games. Also, in my opinion, Athlon 64 X2 has much better upgrade potential - more than 70% right now (upgrade to 6400+) as compared to about 30% (upgrade to Pentium EE 965) for Pentium D. I would go with Athlon 64 X2.

Wait, you want to UPGRADE? I assume you're starting from scratch?

Why are those the only two options?

Soo I will buy X2 Smile I hope it will arrive for monday. THX for the help.

I'd dumb up the chip (To a E2160 or something) and get a better card (7600GS or the ilk).

'Dumb up' refers to buying a 'lesser' chip with greater performance.... Especially if you can overclock just a squeak Very Happy
