amd athlon 64 x2 4000+ Heat issue

I just upgraded to a new board with dual core cpu it runs around 58 deg celcius at idle I got it set to shutdown at 60deg celcius and it seems to get to that point very fast what would be a good cooler to use to keep it cool its an am2 platform cpu.

I want it to run down around in the 30-40degree range

Reapply your stock cooler. Unless you are runing in 90*F+ ambient, something is wrong.
