What is printed on the backside? This could help.

When there is no extra speed printing on the Nx586, there is no way to find out exactly. But P90 (84 MHz) is a very good guess. This speed grade is most common and fits to the size / type of the heat spreader: Faster CPUs have a bigger brownish heat spreader, slower CPUs often have a smaller heat spreader.

Do you have access to the motherboard where this CPU was plugged in? The jumper settings would tell you the speed at which it was run. Assuming nobody fiddled with the jumpers, you'd find out the "official" speed then.

The backside only has the White "IBM" Logo printed on it, so no help there.

THe Processor came to me without the Mobo so no way of finding out that way either.

From images I have studied on other collectors Websites I believe it may be a 100mhz or 110 Mhz as it has the large heatspreader but it seems there is a shortage of info out there on how to ascertain that from the chip markings.

Cheers
