Wow! That was a strange one. To nice to let go... I´ll create a "Unknown" category in the database for this one. _________________ My collection: http://www.cpucollection.se :::::: http://www.chipdb.org Photos of chips you never knew existed. Now over 6000 different chips in the database. |

Could it be a Pentium II Prototype?
Pin Pattern is similar to Pentium Pro Overdrive _________________ The Older they are the Better they are. |

Hi,
it has 350 pins, so it's too much for a "standard" Pentium and it has less pins than P-Pro.
I think it maybe is a development chip to test some core logic for MMX or Pentium II. |

What can turn out to be in existence... probably it had just the time to be produced and tested and then be replaced by PPro "full" size.
How can we give prices if we don't even know what's out in the wild??
Thank you for sharing your findings LZF7000. |

According to its pinout it could be a Pentium Pro L2 cache chip sample, isn't it? _________________ My microprocessor collection: The Gecko's CPU Library |

A623... if that is date code then it means 1996 y and 23 week - to late for Pentium Pro proto which was introduced in 1995. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |
