I read topic on cpu-museum.de forum and faster Nexgens need faster cache - best 10 ns. I have soldered Etron Tech 12 ns Sad

Yes, that could very well be the limit here Sad

You should have bought the original motherboard too, even if damaged! I once tried to get these 10ns cache chips for replacing the chips on my motherboard, but no way.

Here are the jumper settings:

Code:
JP01 Parallel DMA, 1-2 = DMA3, 2-3 = DMA1 (default)

JP02 CRT Type: IN = Color, OUT = Mono (default)

JP03 ?

JP04-08 Onboard IDE: JP04  JP05  JP06  JP07  JP08
IN    IN   2-3    X    1-2  with legacy IRQ (default)
OUT   OUT   2-3   2-3   2-3  with PCI INT
                     OUT   OUT   1-2   2-3    X   disabled

JP09-11 NexBus-Frequency: JP11  JP10  JP09 NexBus  CPU  BIOS PCI sync
                          OUT   OUT   OUT   35      70   P75  23,3
                          OUT   OUT    IN   37,48   75   P80  25
                          OUT    IN   OUT   42      84   P90  28

                           IN    IN    IN   64,98  130    ?   43,4
NexBus frequency is shown exact, CPU frequency (= 2 x NexBus frequency) is shown rounded.
The PCI bus frequency is 32 MHz when Async (JP12 in), or 2/3 of the NexBus frequency when Sync (JP12 out).

JP12,16-17 PCI-Bus ASYNC / SYNC P12  P16  P17

JP20 Clear CMOS Memory: IN = Clear, OUT = Normal (default)

JP21 Clock Current Reference (signal IREF, pin 323 of CPU) and Vss (no pins soldered on board)

JP22 resistor 1.6 KOhm set between pin 2 and 3. Is this for the CPU core voltage?

Gennadiy do you need results to upload on your website ?

Not now. Later this month I will add new pages where it'll be possible for any registered forum user to upload new benchmarks and view them online.

So late ... Today I updated BIOS in my Nexgen PCI motherboard. I got Nexgen CPU from Robev and wanted to test also. CPU was recognized as P100 (because of jumpers). After flashing BIOS to this version from mtx500 board recognized CPU as P110 without changing jumper settings Confused

I will try boot it as P120.

LZF70000 have an identical NexGen without markings for the speed and describe it like a NexGen P110, may be he pulled out the CPU from a system and so knew the exact model also without markings.
Can I listed my NexGen without markings like a P110?

LZF70000 listed it as P110 because some of collectors are describe that CPU as P110 on their websites (include me Razz ) That will be most propably version in my opinion.

But Robev's not marked Nexgen 586 with big heatspreader have IBM logo at back side so that is advantage to believe it is different model than P90 but that is only suspect Sad

Indeed, the cache chips are the limiting factor...I have a P120 but I never couldn't run it at this speed.

The NexGen's without markings are usually P90 chips. All the other ones I know had a marking on the back.
