I have a Dell SC420 Poweredge Server that runs a Intel 325, Celeron D. I recently acquired a 3.46 Extreme Edition Engineering Sample (Q650ES) and I was thinking about trying to run it in the sc420. The only limitation that I can think of is bus speed, since the celerons bus speed was 533 and the 3.46 is 1066.

Any reason I couldnt do this?

Are they the same socket? If so you might be able to, but maybe not also , Dell proprietory software and motherboards make it a bit difficult to swap in and out hardware without messing up windows.

As long as the board can handle the FSB settings...

I'd consider trading the 3.46ES for a standard 3.46+$$ because I'm willing to bet your Dell mobo wont overclock... The only reason to USE an ES is to overclock, and non-ES chipcs are multiplier-locked.
