Any Pentium 3 (Even the LV @ 300MHz) is better than ANY given K6-2 at almost any synthetic/real benchmark, excluding those which may rely solely on raw MHz.

I agree. The Pentium 3. (especially the slot chips, I found them to be fast AND reliable.. the pga's i found got to be unstable until p4)

The k6 series of chip was one of the worst of its era, next to cyrix, which is a complete joke and not to be mentioned EVER again lol.

The only decent k6 chip was the k6-3 550 and the only reason I liked it was because it was easy to overclock. Since it was so unstable to start with, you didnt really notice if it was getting rock Razz

Now its the P3, since second hand prices are soooo cheap.

At the time however, I would have gone with K6-2 since Im a cheap ass and the K6 range was much cheaper and provided you with a better 'Bang per Buck'
