I think you bought a bunch of production chips with "ES" and "CS" letters on the back.

If this is the case then that is a crappy thing to do to another collector. The only reason I felt half way comfortable in buying these is because I couldnt imagine another active collector doing something so blatantly wrong.

| I think its just a batch, production code or test code. Look at enough Intel chips and you fill find just about every combination of letters on the back.. CU, CS, CV, AB, ES, EB etc.. |

I couldn't imagine it too until I saw the auction 150187519755. In any case, it's better wait and see what chips you get before leaving any feedback. If the chips are not engineering samples then maybe you'll be able return them and get a refund.

I am very disappointed to see this. I just bought some very nice ceramic AMD 29030 engineering sample chips from Tmac and they arrived just perfectly. I find it hard to believe that he could mistake an ES on the back of an Intel for engineering sample. Although, it would explain some of the prices he has paid in the past. It just makes me sad to see. |

Have you emailed him?
Maybe you can kill the deal before he ships. |

Great work guys, i see he ended it early because of an error in the listing, A newb like myself could have been taken for a real ride on somthing like that. I think its important that we keep our eyes open for stuff like this because no one wants to see another fellow collector get the raw deal. I think that in the future i might have to run the chip past this forums inspection before I buy it if its a crazy priced piece. Regardless of weather or not i want someone else to know its for sale, its better to pay a bit more for somthing you believe is for real than to get a cheaper FAKE. I Thank you guys again and keep it up. |

I contacted Tmac through Ebay and pointed out the fact that it was not an ES chip and why. I think he knows he is being watched and didn`t want to get caught. He might have even read the posts in this thread.
I think being a collector he must know the difference.
I don`t think anyone would have paid the price anyway. Notice he didn`t show the front of the chips in the auction Windmiller bought.
I wonder why he showed the front of this chip and even included the
SX753 Sspec. |

By the time I realized that these were probably not ES it had already shipped. I did e-mail him asking for sspecs but he didnt have them. My guess is that he has read this thread though I have always wondered why he wasnt an active member here. How could you be a chip collector online and not want to hang out here . I know there are many collectors who dont but still cant imagine it. |
