I get paranoid with sealed boxed cpus. Maybe a bad seller will take the chip out, reseal the box and sell it on, knowing that the collector will not want to open the seal.

Hi, Jac, you can check it by x-ray machine while keep the box intact.Smile

Weigh the box. or compare it to either online specs given by the company, or with other people who own the same boxed item

Weight will not help if some extra packing or weight has been put in to compensate.

Well then, I guess my only suggestion would be to buy from a reputable person, and not some out-of-the-blues collector Smile

btw why the sudden paranoia?? It's not like you collect boxed processors anyway Very Happy

Well boxed CPUs aren't worth that much yet; at least not enough to hassle scammers into the whole process. So stock up now while you can find them Smile
