Hi folks! First of all, I would like to congratulate the community and the admins for making such a great site!
I am pretty new to this, so I want to learn. I know that a CPU does all the 0 and 1 with 0 representing off and 1 on. But how can a CPU switching on and off several billion times a sec, do what they do? Can you explain what happens inside the computer when you hit the 'a' key? I only need very basic explanation
And an another question:
What is the difference in OEM and boxed CPU's

Forget about 0's and 1's. The operator is as far removed from that as is a grain of sand on a beach by the sea and a flower growing up in a mountain.
I sugest you use google to find out more by yourself. Take a start here:

OEM usually are trays of cpus sent to system builders, it saves on the packaging etc.
Boxed is as you would go and buy it in a computer
store. |

Hi!
Welcome!
But how can a CPU switching on and off several billion times a sec, do what they do?
Yes, they do! Don't be afraid of big numerals
Our eyes able to recognize electromagnetic waves
from 400 000 000 000 000 to 800 000 000 000 000
vibrations per second!
TRAY = usually only CPU
BOX = CPU+cooler+manual+nice label... _________________ My Want List: http://www.cpu-world.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22729
