I was wondering if someone could help me out here. I have a XFX GeForce 8600 GT XXX Video Card. The specs say it has a core speed of 620 MHz and memory speed of 1600 MHz. The problem is when I run the ATITool, it shows the core clock at 620 MHz, but the memory shows as only 800 MHz. Am I missing something here? Any help would be appreciated. The rest of my system is:
XFX nForce 680i LT SLI Motherboard, Intel Pentium D 925 Processor 3.0GHz, Corsair Dual Channel TWINX 2048MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz E.P.P. Memory (2 x 1024).
Thanks,
Paul |

Hi Paul,
I think a cheap advertising trick: 800MHz GDDR-RAM (Double
Data-Rate) on your card means to be advertised as
1600MHz memory clock

I have some cooperation with local "gold-scrapers". Not to extract gold but to save the CPUs life Smile
I am used to pay $0.5-$5 for one chip. _________________ KazUyA |
