| i would trust core temp - pc probe seems to mix up mobo/cpu temperate ((35+40)/2 is almost 37) |

| You can trus CoreTemp that use the thermal sensor inside the cpu-core, the sensor that are used by PC Prore are outside the cpu and they have a REALLY bad precision. You can have two identical board, same brand, same model, same date-code, same cpu and you can read two temperatures with a difference of 10/15 degress |

OK thank you guys!
I'm getting Thermaltake Kandalf LCS for my Bday hopfully (16 January) so it should give me better cooling to allow overclocking. 40C idle is just too high...
BTW, how do I set Tjunction max temp in CoreTemp? |

| I've downloaded SpeedFan and it shows almost exact same temps and fan speeds etc. as PC Probe II. I'm not sure if CoreTemp is accurate... |

Hi,
as I told you before, Coretemp read the data from a thermal-sensor INSIDE each cpu core, the other programs like PC Probe, Motherboard monitor, Speedfan read data from the motherboard sensor, and these sensors have a awfull precision. |

OK
Are there any other hardware monitoring programs that is as accurate as CoreTemp that can warn me when some value is to low/high? |
