I have a Pentium d 925 processor and am looking at upgrading it. I have a limited budget and would like to get the best bang for my bucks (150-200.)
My current system is the Pentium D in a XFX 680i motherboard, 2gb Corsair 6400 memory and an XFX 8600 GT XXX video card. Any input on this subject would be appreciated.[/b] |

Best bang would be a $90 E2180...
The E4500 is a bit nicer at $125, maybe worth the extra... Dont bother with the E4400.
The E6400 isnt worth the additional $75 from the E4500.
I'd go for the E4500... And I hope you overclock!
My E4400 hit almost 2.8GHz stock voltage and cooling... Stepped it down a bit so I didnt have to monitor heat. |

| Thanks Wizard. What about the 6550 with the 1333 front side bus? My motherboard supports that speed. |
