I have some 700 MHz Xeons with two different sSpecs - SL49P and SL49Q.

SL49P - http://www.cpu-world.com/sspec/SL/SL49P.html

SL49Q - http://www.cpu-world.com/sspec/SL/SL49Q.html

According to these information pages the SL49P should have 2.8V VCore and the SL49Q has 5V / 12V VCore voltage!

How can a PIII have 12V VCore ???
IMHO it's a mistake in the description of SL49Q.

Does somebody know the true meaning of "2.8V" and "5/12V" markings on these Xeons?

5/12V means the voltage regulator is ON the XEON

Thank you for the very helpful link !

As I supposed the 5V/12V isn't the VCore voltage - it's the supply voltage.

Any idea which stepping is more common?
