hi, i forgot my vista login password of administrator.
now i can only log on by fingerprint.
who has idea to clear off my admin pwd?

i used this tool 2-3 times under 2000/XP with success

it should also work with vista

I don't know if Vista will let you to access to user accounts/password but I have used this application (older version) in Windows 2000 several years ago with sucess.

It is an .iso file that contains a bootable cdrom could help you to restore passwords from users at your system. Have in mind that in encrypted environments it doesn't work, good luck.

After boot, use command winpass, and follow instructions

Both borris and cocoe 's methods are a little bit complicated.
Mixuer 's method is very straightforward and effective if no other choice.

In my memory there was a small program can run directly in windows then show up the admin password. well, let me google it out.
