I dont want to fry it Razz I believe it's the multiprocessor select pin... But I was reading an article about Pentium (Not II or III) and I didnt quite understand it.

Does anybody have a PIII pinout datasheet?

http://download.intel.com/design/PentiumIII/datashts/24965705.pdf

If I'm not mistaken you broke Vss pin, so the chip may still work.

Edit: My mistake, I didn't see that you said that you broke TD0 pin.

Pin AN37, name TDO is the TAP output. I'm not sure what TAP is, but on page 23 of 24965704.pdf (IntelŪ PentiumŪ III Processor with 512KB L2 Cache at 1.13GHz to 1.40GHz Datasheet) it says:

Quote:
The CMOS, APIC, and TAP outputs are open drain and must be pulled to the appropriate level to meet the input specifications of the interfacing device.

I don't know what TAP is, but there is only one TAP output pin, so I would say that it is unlikely to work properly (if at all) without that pin.

Edit:

I just checked the pinouts, and agree with Genna. The TD0 is on the other corner to the one you indicate, and the one you indicate does appear to be a Vss pin, which should be fine Smile

Hmmmmmmmmm
Lemme double check...

Hazzah! I agree. Thanks for the datasheet Very Happy

I might try and re-attach it anyways... Solder keeps these on, right? Seems like a cold solder join, when looked at in it's broken state.
