Which of these CPU's would perform faster?
AMD Phenom 9500 Agena, 2.2G, Quad-Core
or
AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+, 3.2G, Dual-Core
System will have 4 Gigs DDR2800 Ram
Any help would be greatly appreciated |

wait a minute, doesn't XP support 4 gb ram MAX?
does agena have the same TLB bug that barcelona has? if yes i wouldn't buy it myself as i like when everything is working tip-top at full possible power. :)bg _________________ Power without the price. |

| Only 64 bits OS support 4GB of ram, in XP/Vista 32bit you cannot access all the system memory in a 4Gb setup |

| Mostly for gaming with some DVDRipping and Audio Editing, no Maya or 3dsmax or anything like that |

| For gaming (except Crysis) it's better a fast dual-core than a quad-core. But if you have to change all the pc (and don't have already an AM2/AM2+ motherboard) it's better to go on Intel C2D/C2Q than on AMD X2/Phenom they have greater performance/price ratio |
