Intel 8008 was used in MARK-8 minicomputer (http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?c=741&st=1), Hantu (http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?c=523&st=1) and MICRAL-N (http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?c=352&st=1). I don't know about 4040.

The 4040 was used in Intel Universal Prom Programmers in combination with a couple of 4001s and a 4002-2 on the "cpu board".

Interesting, one of your C4001 chips has "Intel" printed on it instead of "i" logo. That's the first time I see it on the C4001 chip.
