I am absolutely, positively hooked on the multiplayer online games Day of Defeat-Source and Team Fortress 2. Been playing with the same group of guys, on the same server for almost 4 years now. Although I've never met any of them in person, and we are scattered all across North America, I feel like these guys are family. I'm 49 years old, have my own buisness, wife, 2 teenagers and I'm hooked on online games Shocked

I guess there's alot worse things I could be doing Laughing

Yea, sometimes I my wife gets pretty pissed with the gaming addiction. And of course as you noted Marcin 47 is a reference to the star of the Hitman series which i love. I haven't seen the movie yet. I am worried, 47 is such a dark and enigmatic character. It would be just like Hollywood to mess that up. I also have been playing recently:

- Crysis (as mentioned before) I really worry about this game though. The unencrypted code they left in for server admins to customize has made it the cheater game of the century. It is so bad that the online community sees to shrink daily and it is getting hard to find a server where their isn't at least one player using a hack that randomly autokills players. That being said, when you do find a good game and it doesn't crash (due to stability problems that ironically did not exist before the patches) it is golden. I'm considering giving up all together on the online play though. Just not worth it. Single player is a feast for the eyes.
- Battlefront 2 (Just excellent online play it's like $20 now so pick it up if you don't have it)
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (came with my MB addictive single player kinda like a fps but with rpg like items and an enthralling story. Very glitchy though and can have some annoying mechanics. Great premise but unpolished. It was years late to market and still feels rushed)
- Worms world party (old turn based strategy, laugh all you want, alone or online it is lots of fun even though I am not the best at it)
- C&C red alert 2 (I love playing alone but online I get the piss beat out of me)

I just got orange box so that will be my next foray. Although with lawn mowing season starting my business is getting rolling again and I won't have much time.

I review crysis and one of my buddies reviews mass effect (episode 4: duty calls.)

Apparently the wife should be happy I sit on my ass and game. If I were to be into working out instead I would be overwhelmingly likely to cheat on her. At least thats how I am going to spin it.

Ha Ha, you sure got that right! As far as hackers go, as I stated in my previous post, I've been playing on the same server for quiet a while so we can sort of smell "enhanced" skills downloaded from some obscure site that helps people ruin the game for everyone else that takes the time to develop natural skills and have an honest competitive game. It's too bad there's CRAP like that out there on this wonderful thing we call the World Wide Web.
