This is a nice controller-project to drive
a 16x16 LED-matrix module with an Atmega32
http://www.marwedels.de/malte/ledmatrix/ledmatrix.html
On this page you`ll find sources for a gamebox including
many games and a display demo.
I recommend the usage of WinAVR for
compiling and PonyProg (both free) for flashing the Atmega.
I`ve attached some pictures of the simple assembly,
for the demo there are no more parts needed
(the gamebox requires additional four
buttons and two resistors lol).
If somebody needs this Samsung LED-modules just
let me know, as they`re hard to find I bought some more...

I love it!

Early lamps on a large, very expensive switch panel in a huge rack-mount assembly drew my attention to electronics. I was like 6 years old and took my dad's soldering iron, then I spent the day taking out all the pretty lights. I was in a lot of trouble.. it cost a lot of money to repair it. lol ooops....
