I just got these IDT chip modules on Ebay.
Are they uncommon and are they from military gear?
I'm just a novice collector, but I think these are really sharp beauties!
Did I get a good deal for 39$ incl. shipping??
>>> Ohhh...and is there much gold plating in these??

If you like them, you made a good deal! Unfortunately they were desoldered, but imho these odd chips are a nice add in any collection
I don't have info about them but I also have a 7M135 in my collection. Your lot is very interesting for us because your second 7M135 describe all chip's names, so it'll be easiest to find out informations on it. _________________ My microprocessor collection: The Gecko's CPU Library |

I thought rarechips had some of those for sale recently too, None the less i like those kind of chips myself, but they always seem to fetch a good penny on Ebay. Most likely because of the scrap gold value _________________ "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." A.E. |

Yep, nice chips. I tried to get them but they sold over $25, and only a couple were really interesting. Gold gold gold... pfffff. _________________ My microprocessor collection: The Gecko's CPU Library |

Is the gold plating in any chip actually worth more than a few cents?
Do these 1990's IDT chips have more gold plating than average? |

I think the actual gold vaue is a couple dollars a chip, but i dont know for sure. I guess they could also run higher is because they look sweet. Heres the last one simular to these i bought, pretty sure i paid 20 bucks for this , so i wouldnt say you paid too much for those. This chip looks the same on both top and bottom, im just too lazy scan the other side of it right now. |
