Very nice wepwa! Yes, the second one is a custom VFD. Very nice.

The HP is very nice. Is there any detail on the back?

I have too many tubes to go through, I'll post a sample of them over the next few days. I wont comment on rarity, lets just say many are not easily found.

Regarding pictures, I admit I am not the best photographer, and all I'll add is the lit tubes look much better than my pictures show.

Ok, here is another one...

GR10K No anode mesh. Not commonly seen like this as the mesh reduces tube darkening as it ages, in use obviously.

The quirky Tuneon with an interesting history. I dont collect magic eyes generally, but I had to grab this.

the hp chip 's backside shows the hp logo and three of them read:
5082-7101
803
I suspect 7101 to be the date code.
I got them together with the one-of-four-cpu-board with intel 3301 chips dated 1972

unfortunately three others read:
1990-0342
526

totally different, so nothing can be the real part number:-(

Z550 "Pixie" tube. One of my favourite tubes. Designed to interface to 5V transistor logic.

GN5A This one is actually a rather late production, dated 1982. Very high quality and noticeable maturity in manufacture and in packing. Impressive! No doubt cheaper than equivalent LED, or similar "new" technology displays at the time.
