Hi there,
I'm new to this forum and trying to find people who are using Pentium 4 or same architecture CPUs especially the ones with hyperthreading or dual core design to test my benchmark.
I intended to make a benchmark to find out how fast the FPU and SSE2 unit of a chip is, without taking care of memory sub system and graphics card and furthermore also using multiple cores...and so I adapted a fast implementation of the Mandelbrot fractal algoritm one time for FPU one time for SSE2.

...by the way, my benchmark (the FPU version) should be compatible to also old CPU's, they should just have the Pentium Pro instruction set level of the CPU (I think AMD K6 didn't have that...), so feel free to test... |
