Hey everybody. I recently replaced my PM9MS mobo with a WS1201 (never even heard of it, but it worked). After I got everything up and running I checked system information and noticed it said I had 2500 mhz, not my 3000 mhz I use to have. AND, my HT isn't enabled (task manager, no dual CPU usage graphs). Checked BIOS settings and no option to enable Hyper-threading. Only thing I can think of is the website I got this new mobo from lied about the features it has. Here is the link to the mobo I bought from CableMart. It's at cmicomputer.com, its the mb12101 for 53.99.
Which, the mobo they sent me was a Series Matsonic 12101. Yet, on the website it says Winsonic 12101.WIERD. Its getting me frustrated. Anyways, I was wondering if anybody could enlighten me to whats going on with no HT and lower CPU speed. Did I get screwed? Thanks.

Out of pure curiosity, was there anything wrong with your old board?? If not, from the small amount of info available on cmicomputer's website and your posting, you LOST some features with the new board even if it had worked as advertised.

After applying the SWAG method, I'd advise you to bend over and say, "AAAAAHHHHHHH." Surely that's not funny to you, but there are still some name brand Socket 478 motherboards available from reputable suppliers.

CMI's 'contact page' lists numerous email addresses, phone numbers, and street addresses. I'd be posing questions about your new purchase to them since they took your money.

Yeah. I know what ya mean. And yeah again, my old PM9MS board heated up and would freeze/crash/reset if I didn't have a fan on it at all times (during long game sessions). Then after awhile it would just automatically reset, randomly shutdown, or never even boot up. I replaced the board and everythings been smooth sailing since...just... a lot slower sailing. lol. I'm gonna pick up a MSI board thats meant for the Socket 478, no more buying from random places for cheap for me. lol. Thanks guys, just thought I'd share my experience.
