I took and uploaded photos of some of my collection to the ImageShack to make them fit here. Click the pics to view.
These chips were all acquired since late March '08.

Above the white WE267AE & 267AF chips is a view of the Gold circuitry on the bottom of each chip. To the right is the gold circuitry exposed from an AT&T 868F. Silicone rubber coatings had to be carefully removed to expose the hidden gold. You never know what you will find. These are pulls from some AT&T & Western Electric telecom boards that I got from Ebay and I consider these to be mini works of art.
I have duplicates of some of these to trade.
I believe the "McCoy" 5-chip set is military as are the LSI chips and IDT modules.
There is something about Gold that makes a computer chip so attractive...

These are all "modern" chips from several recycled PC's that I got free on my local "Freecycle" website. The are Freecycle groups all over the US. The three rusted-gold cer-dips (DEC) are from Ebay and aren't as nice as they looked in the auction pics.
The IBM logo is from the broken keyboard of my 1st computer, an IBM-PC 5150, which still works! The INTEL key-fob is from my brother, who used to work there. He is now with Motorola in San Diego and he better find me some chips,,,lol.

Most of these plastic dips are support chips from sockets. I don't know if any are collectible, but they are part of computing history, so I keep a few. Again, these are all from recycled PC's.

I'll post several vintage mainframe boards and cards in a separate posting here.
So long for now.... Wink

These 3 chips (5 is more correct) are a complete DEC F-11 (code name: the Fonz) processor set.
On the first module there are a DC302 Data chip + a DC303 Control chip, on the second there are two DC303 Control chip ( so a total of 3) these are basically the ROM, the third is a DC304 MMU chip.

Nice set, unfortunately the writings are erased Sad

Thats a nice find. I recently started collecting F-11's and J-11's. I had a couple I acquired for cheap and had them listed as part of the recent sale. I had them sitting in front of me (2 x DEC F-11's and 2 x J-11's) when I was about to post the sale of them and started looking at the chips and just couldnt do it. Smile

Those are programmable VCTCXOs made by McCoy Electronics in Mt. Holly Springs, PA (later Oak Frequency Control, then Corning Frequency Control, and now a subsidiary of Vectron Int'l). The reason I know this is because I designed them. Small world... Wink
