Rolling it out in australia first, but will gradually make Paypal the ONLY method of payment everywhere else as well.

Ebay Germany is preparing to introduce the PayPal enforcement too.
Currently Ebay can't do it openly because only 50% of companies and only 15%-20% of private sellers in Germany offer PP in their listings. That's why Ebay uses different dirty tricks to force more sellers into PP.

The Ebay "buyer protection" doesn't exist anymore. Only if you pay with PP you have the protection - at least on paper. Sad
There were a number of "malfunctions" and "accidents" on Ebay Germany. They prevented usage of the alternative payment methods like wire transfer. Ebay claimed to be working hard on fixing these "small annoying bugs".

About a week ago I visited the Ebay forums in Australia. Apparently there were the same bugs on Ebay Australia just before PP enforcement was introduced! The bugs in Australia prevented the usage of the alternative payment methods too. Confused What a remarkable coincidence ! Liar

The European Union has a very good banking system. It's quite easy and safe to transfer the money from one country to another. When I send the money I pay only EUR 0.00. When I receive the money from another EU-country I pay EUR 0.05 transfer fees. There are no account freezes or fraudulent chargebacks.
Nobody inside EU (except UK residents) needs this PP *C*R*A*P* !!!

Ebay increased the fees, introduced the hidden bidder ID's, changed the feedback system. And now Ebay want to suck out more money from it's customers by introducing the PayPal enforcement.
If they really do it in Germany - Ebay Germany will be dead in two weeks! Sad

can't be closer to the truth John Sad I love how every time I ship internationally, the buyers never receive the item until I reply with an express tracking number.. then all of a sudden, they find it 2 hours later! I've become weary of selling internationally on ebay, shipping has become extremely costly, sellers cant leave negative feedbacks anymore, and paypal claims are easier to make... the money gained for their bids is just not worth it anymore.

I wouldnt give ebay much longer before a new competitor comes out. It's unbelievable how not a single company has come out to challenge them! Well there are a few but their layouts are pathetic, and the systems are unreliable
