How does AMD calculate the "rated" speed for its cpus? (the formula for Athlon XP's will do) eg "3200+" rated, 2200 "actual".

I don't think there is a formula for calculating real CPU frequency from CPU rated speed, FSB and L2 cache size. For instance - 1.333 GHz Athlon XP processor is rated as 1500+. If you use the same ratio for 2 GHz (real frequency) Athlon XP processor you'll find it should be rated 2000 * (1500/1333) = 2250.56, with rounding it'll be 2300+ but not 2400+.
