Which CPU is best?

Hi, which of these two CPU's is best AXDA2500DKV4D (Barton core 512 cache) or AXDA2700DKV3D (Thoroughbred 256 cache)?

Please help?

The rating is accurate to general performance, but if you are a gamer, the Barton core will be better.

Thanks for your reply.

So the 2700+ Throughbred 256 cache will run faster than a 2500+ Barton 512 cache, except for gaming apps?

Yes. Games and heavy-duty apps which will use alot of CPU and RAM will benefit from the Barton core.

It will never be a large difference.

Thanks again for the reply.

My usage is mainly normal computing i.e. web browsing, word processing, watching digital TV, playing some older games from circa 2000-3 (don't think they are overloading the CPU), But my main usage is video and photo editing which i believe is very power hungry (CPU load in Task Manager shows full 100% loading. So which is best for Video editing? Sorry about all the questions just that i have both processors and do not know which will be best for my usage.
