I was just sitting around wondering how many chips people have in thier collections, so I thought i would post this poll. I know some have over 1500 chips, but i dont think thats the majority is it? As of right at this moment i have 447 chips. _________________ "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." A.E. |

Around 500
My collection didnt grow that much until I added clones to my existing collection of IBM and Intel samples. And I recently am starting to collect Pentiums so hopefully that will grow the collection as I try and get the common sspecs for scrap prices |

179 chips (more than I thought)
One of them is a week 53 chip. Does that get me any accolades? |

I've counted the chips in my collection recently.
Currently there are exactly 1194 pieces of them. |

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 15,000 at last count. (That's not including the ones on the thousand or so boards I have in storage.)

No, if I limit it to CPUs and support chips it's probably around 2000. I'm including every chip I have from op amps to discrete logic. Date codes range from 1963 onward.
My collection is mostly housed off-site in a 1500 sq ft storage facility, since chips aren't the only things I collect.
