| The 2 core CPU is quite of a low technology as compared to the 4 cored CPU. All the big games and some softwares make to use the 4 core CPU. |

| A CPU with 4 cores is always better than a two-cored one .Most of the game two -cored cpu not supported. |

Martin, you have to add these few things that usually make up a PC:
- ram
- fsb (or equivalent)
- cpu frequency
- number of cores
- graphics card (sometimes the bottleneck is the cpu, even a quad!!)
- program optimization for more than 1 core
- cash you have (I breathe, but that fills my lungs only)
Speaking only of "how many cores" is simply leaving behind 7/8 of the conversation, ain't ya a car salesman by fortune?
Ok, today's news, a VIA Nano is better than QX97xx in encryption tests.
This invalidate your absolute number of cores theory, but as I am silly enough to care about tests carried out by people who usually do that for a job (eg tom's hadware), I'd say that the number of cores is relevant for certain scenarios, not all.
With a smile I'd say that how long doesn't make up for how good.
