Just took apart a Dell my boss got for parts- Inside was a 925x board, with a P4 processor, LGA775.

Upon cleaning the processor, here's what I found:

INTEL(M)(C) '03
PENTIUM(R)4
3.4GHZ/1M/800
SL7J8 CHINA
5426A993

But then SIDEWAYS on the right edge:
3.2GHZ/1M/800
SL8BY CHINA
5426A993T

The chip recognizes as a P4 3.2 in an Intel 915 board.

The little black area on the actual chip reads:
354208A
0750

Is this normal? Is this strange? Very Happy Pictures tonite, with my scanner.

Nice! I have one like this in the database. Seems to be originating from Dell machines. Can you get a better image of this with numbers readable?

Sure, I'll take it home and scan it.

Is it worth selling as collectable? I've been short on cash for new computer stuff for some time Razz

I doubt anyone collects these seriously yet, since they still have a open market value. But it should have a value as a replacement part perhaps...

Interesting chip... But I agree with cpuswe - it's current CPU market value is higher than it's collectible value.

Nice! Looks like some sort of test print to show where the different information should be printed.

The notches match for LGA771 processors.

And digresses from LGA775 (Still Xeon, but 775)

while searching
another QDF cpu ( 1366 )
i mentioned
http://www.cpu-world.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14917

i find a possible answer of this 771 QDF

according to
http://www.pcdvd.com.tw/showthread.php?t=653004&page=2&pp=10
it is a never release intel cpu
codename Tejas (P4)775 or Jayhawk (xeon)771
Tejas was canceled in the 2004 May
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tejas_and_Jayhawk
and hugo's QDF is made in 2004 April . it might be the one of the latest jayhawk
