I know that it is not allowed to post Ebay auctions that havent ended yet but what about the case where the chip is badly misadvertised and you want to warn other collectors? Such as a normal chip being called a sample?

Posting these auctions is not only allowed, but encouraged.

The PowerPC 601 Smile. You never know what someone could have so I thought ok, I'll give this guy the benefit of the doubt and check with him. His reply starts like this "oh yes I did my research, I found a document that states all PowerPc 601s that start with PPC are samples" So I nicely explained and proved to him that this wasnt the case but he came back and said that this document he was looking at said otherwise, so 3 days after this e-mail it is still active and he never sent this so called doc. And to make matters worse some poor guy bid on it Sad

I understand sellers can make mistakes but when proven wrong and they dont take it down...grrrrr Evil or Very Mad

This arrived from the seller today.

I did not have the time to find the PowerPC 601 part number document on
IBM's website, which is where I downloaded the original link, but the same
one is on Motorola's website. See attached. Hopefully, this will clear up my
reasoning on this matter.
Let me know if you think this is an error on IBM and or
Motorola's website when you get a chance.

Motorola and IBM use different numbering. and I guarentee that document is NOT on IBM's site

The reference to the 68K processors is also a bit of a give-away. I don't believe that IBM made 68K CPUs as a standard product (if at all)?

That has got to be it because based on his responses to me he really thought it was a sample. But the guy was a major ass in his replies and told me he was reporting me to Ebay and that I was bordering on slander, yadadadada. Very angry man, I could hear the blood vessels popping in his replies Smile
