Personally i would pay $50 or so for the top one and maybe half that for the ones that are practically unreadable. But i am sure there are others here that would spend more on these. _________________ "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." A.E. |

this 4040 ES (not the one pictured)
is sold by gmanbc to a forum member via ebay
it has a broken leg ( and resoldered)
therefore it sold cheap
C4040 is more rare than C4004

AHHHH i see now, thanks for clearing that up for me. I still wouldnt give $400 for one tho, certainly not in that condition. But then again i still dont think 4004s are all that rare, you just need to big money to get one, theres plenty of them that come up for sale as far as i have seen. _________________ "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." uggh i can see why it went cheap then, sorry to sound so shocked at the price in cpushacks first post, it might do better to show that pic linked to that auction since there is a huge misinterpetation on what was actually sold. _________________ "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." To give you an idea, I bought several C4040s for $50 each.
I sold the extras (should have kept them) for $300 EACH, and that was 6 years ago. _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

D4040 and P4040 are common, C400 are not _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
