Phenom 9950 black edition purchase questions

I'm getting a new cpu looking at phenom 9950 black edition. Is it worth it to wait a couple weeks will there be anything coming out? newegg dropped the price this week on the 9950 is that in anticipation of a new set coming out?

I know there are intel chips that are faster

AMD cut the prices twice in the past two weeks. If this roadmap is true -

then they won't release faster chips in the next two-three months, so I doubt that in the next two weeks they will cut the prices again on their top performing chips.
