Ah, but which AMD will you own shares in after the split?
OTOH, they are going to drop through the floor. I'll buy them in few weeks, when everyone thinks it's hopeless....

Good question, i havent been able to figure this out yet. Based on past situations I would guess some of both with one being the majority. |

The big boys with insider knowledge and contacts (you know the type, those who pay themselves huge bonuses just before they make the company bankrupt...) will probably have all the shares in the more profitable arm, with the smaller investor being lumbered with a load of almost worthless stock, IME.
