I collect some (and most) for nothing other than passion, but I resell quite a few, and put just as many in use |

Chips are my hobby passion now, but it's nice that they have a market among a growing group of collectors.
I have no plans to sell my core chips, but hey, you never know....If I need the money bad, I know who to offer them to....YOU! |

Desperation.
I have no friends.
Except the chips listen to me, yes they do.
And most of the time, they do agree. |

I couldnt imagine selling my main collection. Too much time and effort and good memories. I've met more cool people through chip collecting than anything else.
Like many of us I do buy dupes to sell/trade to help fund my collection although I havent sold anything on ebay to date. |

I collect mainly for Bragging rights and E-PEEN contests LOL j/k I have passion for my collection, i collect for the same reasons most of you guys do, because i love it, not in it for the money as you guys probly know from my past sales here. I happen to buy alot of lots of chips and always have spares to sell. IF it helps to offset the cost of my collection chips then thats great, but i have bought the majority of my chips without the intent of resale. I agree with Windmiller also that i have met many many cool people from around the world doing this. _________________ "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." A.E. |

Smithy we could train some Smurfs and have them stealing samples from Intel and Amd...
It has so difficult to collect cpus one by one at the beginning that to sell them would be to have myself in very BIG troubles, and need to cash fast for it.
I believe that selling some cpus we have is just a way to buy more cpus, not really just for the money, and we sell doubles.
It's really a passion. |

| I collect for passion and sell some duplicates and gold scrap to support the others. I cannot imagine selling my favorites. To many stories, to many good times, to much history. |
