The AMD Phenom 9100e and the ATI Radeon HD3200 are on the AMD 780g chipset that came with my computer.

First of all, the cpu is a 1.8GHz quad core. Does that mean it's 1.8GHz per core(1.8 x 4), or is the whole thing 1.8GHz?

Second of all, I play Counter Strike: Source, which is kind of an older game with okay graphics, but for some reason my ATI HD3200 graphics card only gives me about 50 frames per second. Are there any tricks to boost the fps, or is it just a sh*tty graphics card?

Also, the comp. I bought was the Gateway GT5694 for about $700. You can look at the specs at:

Do YOU think I got a good deal????

Your link shows a price of $500 USD, but it's a refurb. NewEggscuse has it new for close to $700 with shipping added.

The CPU is just what it says, a 4 core with a 1.8GHz (overall) rating, not 4 x 1.8GHz or 4 x 0.45GHz. Of course a 1.8GHz quad core CPU is much faster than a single core CPU because of the multiple functions it will process simultaneously.

As for the video, yours is onboard (built in) and can't be expected to perform very well. Your motherboard has a PCI-e x 16 slot which will accept an aftermarket video card. The choices here will include but not be limited to: cost, power supply output, mounting space (some cards are VERY long), etc.

I am probably the wrong person to answer your "Good Deal" question as I have only owned 1 pre-built/store bought computer. That 1 was enough to convince me to build the rest from scratch.
